System Requirements
The following is a list of the hardware and operating systems supported by DTS:
- IBM AS/400 and iSeries,
- IBM MVS/CICS,
- IBM RS/6000/AIX,
- Compaq OpenVMS and VAX/VMS,
- Compaq Tru64 UNIX,
- Compaq/Digital ULTRIX,
- HP-UX and HP MPE/iX,
- Intel PC/LINUX,
- Windows 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, Windows NT and 2000.

- SLU-P protocol is used for IBM/IMS connection. DTS software is not needed in the IBM/IMS end.
- Not a full-function DTS but a DII (Distributed Inquiry Interface) implementation, front-end (client) services only.
- DTS front-end (client) functionality for all standard Java applications and applets via the object-oriented DTSJAVA class library, allowing DTS calls from any Java-capable browser or stand-alone Java interpreter.
